MBE3 Style
So, What style would you like to brew?
I'm thinking that it might be appropriate to brew a mild or some other session ale to take advantage of the hop shortage. I could probably get the formula for the mild that H&H brews which is very tasty. The big question for me is can we turn a mild fast enough that it won't go off?
I'm good with a mild. I've never really done one.
A basic, one hop pale ale would be interesting as well and could really showcase differences in the local water's impact and brewing individual methods--Yeroc40 16:19, 23 January 2008 (MST).
Anothers thought I had tonight was that the hop could be the variable. Brewers use what is available. This may help people during the hop shortage to have a little more confidence when brewing with some of the lesser known hops, having tasted them in a single hop ale.
I really like the Single Hop idea and we all use the same base recipie. That sounds really fun! - Brotherhoodbrew
I want to brew the mild, I've got yeast I want to use. Tom
I'm good with whatever we decide, I always love a good mild too. Also what yeast is that Tom we all need to use the same if we can right?- Brotherhoodbrew
I'll do 10 gallons, 5 with the yeast the group decides on, and 5 with CL110, the "British Microbrewery" yeast from BSI. It's hard to come by since they stopped shipping plates to people, I can include samples with my brews if anyone wants to ranch it for another batch. - Tom
I'd love a sample of some quality BrewTek Yeast. I'll just step it up a couple of times and brew some British beers. - Brotherhoodbrew
Alrighty, is this thing dead in the water or what? I'm going to post on the MB as well. Maybe Jeff could tweet or twit or whatever the hell that is to get a little more interest. Ideally 6 or seven would be a good number. Yeroc40
Sure seems dead. I am still in but it could be a little bit as I am finishing my brew system and unable to brew till it is done. in 1-2 weeks.Brotherhoodbrew
